MLB Betting Tips

Now that the NBA season is over, a lot of attention is directed towards that Major League Baseball teams as gamblers are looking for new sports to place some bets on. Baseball is surely on the top of the list but betting this season can be a bit tricky due to some unexpected results recently that make everything much more interesting; after all, it is mostly about the thrill of betting.

MLB picks and predictions do require a bit of research especially for those who haven’t been up to date with the games of the season so far. As it is with every sport, there are some bets that look good and can be noticed from a mile away while others don’t really spark confidence. The best moneyline bet right now is on the Orioles who have been performing really well so far with some big wins but also a few mishaps.

On the other hand, the worse moneyline bet is most likely on San Diego Padres who haven’t managed to pick up their game for the last few seasons and are still lacking a lot in the offensive department. On top of that, there have also been some injuries to the lineup which sent the Padres to the bottom of the betting pool.

The most recent games were quite one-sided as White Sox won with 12-5 and New York Mets finished with 17-1 against the Cubbies. These big wins are a joy for gamblers as they not only are great to watch for those that have placed a bet, but are very useful for future bets. Seeing such dominating teams makes it easier to choose the favorite for the next game. Every statistic matters and that is why it is so important to keep up with every game in order to make smart bets and collect some money from the bookmakers.

Let’s not forget the most important betting tip when it comes to sports; don’t just bet on your favorite team. Although most gamblers have a favorite team, it is important to look at things from an objective point of view and make a cool decision. Betting on a team that is from the same state as you without looking at the statistics and without calculating the most likely outcome of the game is not very efficient.

As a betting example, let’s take a look at the upcoming game, Cleveland Indians going up against Baltimore Orioles. This is a pretty difficult bet because none of the teams have shown great consistency throughout the season. While Orioles are the best bet right now due to their big wins, it is hard to say who will come out on top. Cleveland Indians are currently going through a losing spree which makes them the underdogs for this match but they can still break the pattern with a win after 5 losses. Looking at the stats, Orioles are looking better with 41-33 and 21-17 at home while Indians have 37-37 and 17-19 on the road.
