LeBron And Kobe Will Be Part Of The US Olympic Team

Basketball at the 2012 Olympic Games is what everyone is talking about and for good reason too. The US team will consist of some of the biggest names in the NBA and will be defending their title from four years ago. The games are set to start on 28 July and go all the way to 12 August when the winner will be determined. Already, the US Basketball team is the favorite to win but Spain claims they can give them a run for their money.

There are five members from the previous lineup, which won the gold in 2008 at Bejing, who will be taking part this year as well. The team was announced by USA Basketball chairman on Saturday but it still has to be confirmed by the U.S. Olympic Committee. The ones that will come back to defend the gold of the United states are LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Carmelo Anthony.

Making a team from so many great players wasn’t that difficult according to Jerry Colangelo but there were some recent injuries that caused a few problems. Important players such as Derrick Rose and Dwayne Wade will not be part of the team due to injuries. The final lineup is meant to offer the best of the best from the NBA world and we should see a very strong US team at London.

Over the years, the US teams have won 13 out of 16 basketball competitions at the Olympic Games due to the big pool of talented NBA players that work together to create the best All-Stars team. If anyone can stand up to them this year, it will most likely be the Spanish team.

Spain also has a nice array of NBA players to choose from and form a very strong team but most people predict them to only get silver this year. The Gasol brothers, Marc and Pau, will most likely find their place on the hardwood when the games start and everything is possible.

Despite the fact that most people believe that USA will take the gold this year, there are a lot of things that can happen and strong teams such as Spain, Argentina and Brazil are sure to keep things interesting. Online bookmakers will surely offer some attractive odds for the big games of the competition so be sure to place your bet and support you favorite team; maybe even make some money.

While we wait for the games to start, gamblers can enjoy the most popular casino game in the UK, blackjack. Mobile blackjack has become very popular all around the world but it seems that UK citizens are the most enthusiastic about this game and for good reason also. The card game is based purely on chance and the player has to get as close to 21 as possible without going over it; there have been quite a few movies and books that show how counting cards can guarantee a win while playing blackjack but this is not for the average casino player.
